Daily Whale Report: August 4, 2026
Several tracked wallets converged on XYZ100 within the hour. Over the last 24 hours, the wallets we track on Hyperliquid moved $449.1M in trades of $50,000 or larger, and 92% of that went into tokenized-stock perps, roughly in line with the day before. That made it the busiest session of the past week, about 143% above the seven-day average.
When the desks we follow move together like this, it is usually worth a closer look. Here is where the money actually went.
The tape
Start with the wider board the whales were trading into. Bitcoin rose 1% to around $64.1K, Ethereum rose 1% to around $1.9K, Solana held about flat near $74, and XYZ100 rose 3% to around $29.7K. As it stands now, funding on Bitcoin is positive, meaning longs are the side paying to hold.
The day in numbers
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Total tracked flow | $449.1M |
| Buy / Sell | 65% / 35% |
| Tokenized-stock share | 92% |
| Active markets | 36 |
| Busiest markets | XYZ100 $137.2M, SP500 $135.4M, CL $53.3M, MSFT $29.2M, BTC $27.9M |
What stood out
A tracked wallet bought $2.1M of XYZ100, then bought $2.1M of SP500 — all inside the same 24 hours. Stacking size across XYZ100 and SP500 the same day is one desk concentrating risk, not spreading it.
A wallet we follow, up 128% over the last 30 days and among the top 25% of the wallets we track sold $1.7M of XYZ100, roughly 5.2x the size it usually trades in that market. XYZ100 was up 3% on the day, so the trade cut against it, in a market that now carries $245.5M of open interest. It also lines up with XYZ100 being the busiest market across every wallet we tracked today.
One of the wallets we watch sold $620K of SP500, roughly 2.8x the size it usually trades in that market. A single entry that far outside a desk's normal range reads as conviction, not routine rebalancing.
Hidden Spread bought $873K of SP500, roughly 2.3x the size it usually trades in that market. Either way, it stands out as one of the day's heavier commitments to a single market.
Separately, 3 different wallets we track sold XYZ100 inside a single hour, $7.1M between them. Independent desks arriving at the same trade in the same window is the kind of alignment that rarely happens by accident.
The tokenized-stock story
$412.2M of today's tracked flow, 92% of everything the wallets touched, went into tokenized-stock perps — leveraged, on-chain bets on names like the S&P 500 or a semiconductor index (how these work). The busiest were XYZ100 at $137.2M, SP500 at $135.4M, CL at $53.3M, MSFT at $29.2M. That positioning tends to show up in public wallets before it shows up in the price, which is the whole reason to watch it.
For scale, the $137.2M the wallets put into XYZ100 went into a market that now carries $245.5M of open interest in total. On a venue this young, tracked desks are not a rounding error there — they are a visible share of who is in the trade.
One wallet to watch
One desk did more of the heavy lifting than any other. A tracked wallet moved $51.6M today, working across AMZN, INTC, MSFT, ETH.
As of now it is holding a $19.1M short in xyz:MSFT, a $13.8M short in ETH, a $11.0M short in xyz:INTC. Those are live, and you can watch them change in real time.
The standout performer
One of the wallets we watch came into the day with one of the stronger recent records on our list: up 73% over the past week on a 51% win rate, and 80% over the past month. Today it stayed busy in SP500, CL, BRENTOIL, and GOLD. Right now it is holding a $2.1M long in xyz:GOLD and a $1.6M short in xyz:SP500, live and moving in real time. A run like that is the reason to watch a wallet before it acts, not after — the record is public, and so is the next trade.
What we are watching next
A couple of things line up with where the whales already are. SNDK reports in 0 days, and tracked wallets were already active in it today. Tracked wallets are sitting on a combined $132.9M net short in ETH, the clearest positioning lean on the board right now. When positioning and a known catalyst point the same way, the next few sessions are usually the ones worth watching.
The takeaway
The point of reading on-chain is simple. The trades are public, the wallets are public, and the positioning shows up before the story does. You can follow the same flow as it updates on the Mirror-X scanner. The same markets these wallets trade are live on the Mirror-X terminal.
