Daily Whale Report: October 6, 2026
Several tracked wallets converged on ETH within the hour. Over the last 24 hours, the wallets we track on Hyperliquid moved $177.3M in trades of $50,000 or larger, and 56% of that went into tokenized-stock perps, up from 34% of flow a day earlier. That ran roughly 32% below the seven-day average, a lighter day than usual.
When the desks we follow move together like this, it is usually worth a closer look. Here is where the money actually went.
The tape
Start with the wider board the whales were trading into. Bitcoin held about flat near $85.5K, Ethereum held about flat near $2.7K, Solana held about flat near $121, and XYZ100 held about flat near $31.2K. As it stands now, funding on Bitcoin is positive, meaning longs are the side paying to hold.
The day in numbers
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Total tracked flow | $177.3M |
| Buy / Sell | 45% / 55% |
| Tokenized-stock share | 56% |
| Active markets | 34 |
| Busiest markets | XYZ100 $42.2M, ETH $37.5M, SP500 $33.4M, BTC $25.8M, SILVER $10.2M |
| Bitcoin | $85,579 close, — of tracked BTC positions long |
What stood out
One of the desks on our list was liquidated on INTC for $566K. INTC was down 3% on the day, so the trade leaned into the move, in a market that now carries $59.7M of open interest.
A tracked wallet sold $1.0M of XYZ100, then bought $529K of SP500 — all inside the same 24 hours. Cutting XYZ100 and pressing SP500 in the same session is a book being repositioned, not a single directional swing.
A wallet we follow, up 164% over the last 30 days and among the top 12% of the wallets we track bought $981K of ETH, roughly 3.5x the size it usually trades in that market. That cuts against the crowd we track, which is sitting net short on ETH — the most active hand betting the other way is worth marking.
A wallet we follow bought $442K of BTC, roughly 3.2x the size it usually trades in that market. It was trimming an existing BTC position rather than starting one, which usually reads as taking risk off, not adding a view.
Separately, 4 different wallets we track bought ETH inside a single hour, $5.8M between them. Independent desks arriving at the same trade in the same window is the kind of alignment that rarely happens by accident.
The tokenized-stock story
$99.4M of today's tracked flow, 56% of everything the wallets touched, went into tokenized-stock perps — leveraged, on-chain bets on names like the S&P 500 or a semiconductor index (how these work). The busiest were XYZ100 at $42.2M, SP500 at $33.4M, SILVER at $10.2M. That positioning tends to show up in public wallets before it shows up in the price, which is the whole reason to watch it.
For scale, the $42.2M the wallets put into XYZ100 went into a market that now carries $221.5M of open interest in total. On a venue this young, tracked desks are not a rounding error there — they are a visible share of who is in the trade.
One wallet to watch
One desk did more of the heavy lifting than any other. One of the desks on our list, up 151% over the last 30 days and among the top 12% of the wallets we track moved $11.4M today, working across HYPE, XYZ100. It also carries a 59% win rate, which is part of why it earns a place on our list.
As of now it is holding a $20.0M short in xyz:XYZ100, a $2.8M long in HYPE. Those are live, and you can watch them change in real time.
The standout performer
One of the wallets we watch came into the day with one of the stronger recent records on our list: up 77% over the past week on a 82% win rate, and 33% over the past month. Today it stayed busy in ETH. Right now it is holding a $7.8M short in ETH and a $260K long in ZRO, live and moving in real time. A run like that is the reason to watch a wallet before it acts, not after — the record is public, and so is the next trade.
What we are watching next
One thing stands out heading into tomorrow. Tracked wallets are sitting on a combined $136.8M net long in HYPE, the clearest positioning lean on the board right now. Where the biggest desks are already leaning is the thread worth pulling into tomorrow.
The takeaway
The point of reading on-chain is simple. The trades are public, the wallets are public, and the positioning shows up before the story does. You can follow the same flow as it updates on the Mirror-X scanner. The same markets these wallets trade are live on the Mirror-X terminal.
