Daily Whale Report: September 2, 2026

Several tracked wallets converged on BTC within the hour. Over the last 24 hours, the wallets we track on Hyperliquid moved $199.1M in trades of $50,000 or larger, and 45% of that went into tokenized-stock perps, up from 35% of flow a day earlier. That ran roughly 23% below the seven-day average, a lighter day than usual.

When the desks we follow move together like this, it is usually worth a closer look. Here is where the money actually went.

The tape

Start with the wider board the whales were trading into. Bitcoin held about flat near $77.3K, Ethereum fell 1% to around $2.4K, Solana held about flat near $100, and the tokenized S&P 500 held about flat near $7.7K. As it stands now, funding on Bitcoin is positive, meaning longs are the side paying to hold.

What stood out

One of the desks on our list sold $967K of HYPE, roughly 6.3x the size it usually trades in that market. It was trimming an existing HYPE position rather than starting one, which usually reads as taking risk off, not adding a view.

A tracked wallet bought $997K of XYZ100, roughly 2.5x the size it usually trades in that market. XYZ100 barely budged on the day, in a market that now carries $248.3M of open interest, so this reads as positioning ahead of a move rather than chasing one.

A wallet we follow bought $776K of BTC, roughly 2.6x the size it usually trades in that market. That runs with the rest of the board, which is leaning the same way on BTC.

One of the wallets we watch sold $480K of BTC, roughly 2.4x the size it usually trades in that market. A single entry that far outside a desk's normal range reads as conviction, not routine rebalancing. It also lines up with BTC being the busiest market across every wallet we tracked today.

One of the wallets we watch bought $431K of GOLD, roughly 2.2x the size it usually trades in that market. Either way, it stands out as one of the day's heavier commitments to a single market.

Separately, 3 different wallets we track sold BTC inside a single hour, $1.5M between them. Independent desks arriving at the same trade in the same window is the kind of alignment that rarely happens by accident.

The tokenized-stock story

$89.7M of today's tracked flow, 45% of everything the wallets touched, went into tokenized-stock perps — leveraged, on-chain bets on names like the S&P 500 or a semiconductor index (how these work). The busiest were SP500 at $24.8M, CL at $24.3M, XYZ100 at $19.4M. That positioning tends to show up in public wallets before it shows up in the price, which is the whole reason to watch it.

For scale, the $24.8M the wallets put into SP500 went into a market that now carries $371.9M of open interest in total. On a venue this young, tracked desks are not a rounding error there — they are a visible share of who is in the trade.

One wallet to watch

One desk did more of the heavy lifting than any other. One of the wallets we watch moved $17.2M today, working across BTC, ETH, PUMP.

The standout performer

A wallet we follow came into the day with one of the stronger recent records on our list: up 464% over the past week on a 55% win rate. Today it stayed busy in BTC and ZEC. Right now it is holding a $4.4M short in XRP and a $1.1M short in BTC, live and moving in real time. A run like that is the reason to watch a wallet before it acts, not after — the record is public, and so is the next trade.

What we are watching next

One thing stands out heading into tomorrow. Tracked wallets are sitting on a combined $114.2M net long in HYPE, the clearest positioning lean on the board right now. Where the biggest desks are already leaning is the thread worth pulling into tomorrow.

The takeaway

The point of reading on-chain is simple. The trades are public, the wallets are public, and the positioning shows up before the story does. You can follow the same flow as it updates on the Mirror-X scanner. The same markets these wallets trade are live on the Mirror-X terminal.
