Daily Whale Report: August 5, 2026
Several tracked wallets converged on BTC within the hour. Over the last 24 hours, the wallets we track on Hyperliquid moved $236.4M in trades of $50,000 or larger, and 85% of that went into tokenized-stock perps, down from 92% a day earlier. That is about in line with the recent pace.
When the desks we follow move together like this, it is usually worth a closer look. Here is where the money actually went.
The tape
Start with the wider board the whales were trading into. Bitcoin rose 1% to around $64.6K, Ethereum rose 2% to around $1.9K, Solana held about flat near $74, and XYZ100 fell 1% to around $29.5K. As it stands now, funding on Bitcoin is positive, meaning longs are the side paying to hold.
The day in numbers
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Total tracked flow | $236.4M |
| Buy / Sell | 41% / 59% |
| Tokenized-stock share | 85% |
| Active markets | 30 |
| Busiest markets | XYZ100 $48.3M, SP500 $48.2M, INTC $38.7M, BTC $19.3M, MSFT $13.2M |
What stood out
A tracked wallet bought $1.9M of SP500, then bought $1.1M of XYZ100 — all inside the same 24 hours. Stacking size across SP500 and XYZ100 the same day is one desk concentrating risk, not spreading it.
A wallet we follow, up 174% over the last 30 days and among the top 18% of the wallets we track bought $719K of XYZ100, roughly 3.6x the size it usually trades in that market. XYZ100 was down 1% on the day, so the trade cut against it, in a market that now carries $243.7M of open interest. It also lines up with XYZ100 being the busiest market across every wallet we tracked today.
A wallet we follow, up 177% over the last 30 days and among the top 17% of the wallets we track put $742K into SNDK in a single print. When a wallet near the top of our list commits size like this to one name, it is a cleaner read on where experienced money leans than any headline.
Separately, 3 different wallets we track sold BTC inside a single hour, $1.6M between them. Independent desks arriving at the same trade in the same window is the kind of alignment that rarely happens by accident.
The tokenized-stock story
$200.1M of today's tracked flow, 85% of everything the wallets touched, went into tokenized-stock perps — leveraged, on-chain bets on names like the S&P 500 or a semiconductor index (how these work). The busiest were XYZ100 at $48.3M, SP500 at $48.2M, INTC at $38.7M, MSFT at $13.2M. That positioning tends to show up in public wallets before it shows up in the price, which is the whole reason to watch it.
For scale, the $48.3M the wallets put into XYZ100 went into a market that now carries $243.7M of open interest in total. On a venue this young, tracked desks are not a rounding error there — they are a visible share of who is in the trade.
One wallet to watch
One desk did more of the heavy lifting than any other. A wallet we follow, up 681% over the last 30 days and among the top 1% of the wallets we track moved $2.0M today, working across BTC, NVDA. It also carries a 59% win rate, which is part of why it earns a place on our list.
As of now it is holding a $1.3M short in ETH, a $668K long in xyz:NVDA, a $658K long in xyz:GOOGL. Those are live, and you can watch them change in real time.
The standout performer
One of the desks on our list came into the day with one of the stronger recent records on our list: up 103% over the past week on a 68% win rate. Today it stayed busy in ETH. Right now it is holding a $2.0M long in xyz:MSFT and a $1.1M long in xyz:AMZN, live and moving in real time. A run like that is the reason to watch a wallet before it acts, not after — the record is public, and so is the next trade.
What we are watching next
One thing stands out heading into tomorrow. Tracked wallets are sitting on a combined $121.4M net short in ETH, the clearest positioning lean on the board right now. Where the biggest desks are already leaning is the thread worth pulling into tomorrow.
The takeaway
The point of reading on-chain is simple. The trades are public, the wallets are public, and the positioning shows up before the story does. You can follow the same flow as it updates on the Mirror-X scanner. The same markets these wallets trade are live on the Mirror-X terminal.
